I recently discovered Bristol City Council have sold my electoral role data and I now appear on the edited register. What's the problem you might ask, why did you not simply opt-out? Well I did opt out but because they did not receive a submission this year they decided to sell last years data instead. Is this legal, are they allowed to do this? Well I plan to find out.
